London England - Restaurants

We need some help on restaurants in London. Specifically, has anyone eaten at Alounak? It is off Bayswater. It is an Iranian restaurant which gets very good reviews. Second question- we would like a very good Chinese restaurant around the Theatre District (Leicester Square). Thank you in advance

The chance that someone who has eaten at Alounak would also see your thread w/ its general title would be pretty slim. I'd re-post w/ the restaurant's name in your title.

As for Chinese near Leicester Square -- that is on the edge of Chinatown and there are many, MANY Chinese restaurants all around there. Do you want dim sum, casual but decent food, posh, a specific region, or ?????

Janis, thank you. We are looking for chinese food before going to the Theatre. We have landed on a place called Fung Shing on Lisle. Open to ideas. Thanks. Plus Janice we want to have a good Fish & Chips meal. We read about Geale's, Golden Hind and Sea Shell. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Geales has been taken over by wankers and completely ruined.

This review pretty much sums up how bad it is now:

Like the review says - go to costas' a few doors down.
