London Days out vouchers

CAN I USE ANY DAILY TICKET BOUGHT FOR A NTL RAIL DESTINATION TO USE THE DAYS OUT VOUCHERS OR DO I HAVE TO BUY EITHER A 1D TRAVEL CARD OR MULTIDAY TRAVEL CARD TO USE VOUCHERS?

CAN I USE AN UNUSED TICKET FROM A DIFFERENT DAY TO USE VOUCHER FOR ONE OR MORE ATTRACTIONS ON SUBSEQUENT DAYS OR DO I NEED A NEW PAPER TICKET EACH DAY?

CAN I BUY TRAVEL CARD OR PAPER TICKET AT HEATHROW AIRPORT TO USE FOR 2:1 VOUCHERS?

Thanks for any advice. We're a family of 4 (2 ad, 2kids under 15yo). Trying to minimize sightseeing costs.

Huh? If you're going to be in London for > 4 days just get a seven-day paper travel card for the Tube/bus/Overground from a national rail station (Waterloo, Kings' X etc) for everyone who needs to pay to use the Tube (kids < 11 or whatever don't count). If you're going to a site outside London for which you have used a rail ticket (read: Hampton Court Palace), then use that rail ticket with your 2for1 voucher.

Evidently that question made sense to you. Based on what I derived, if you do what I told you above, you won't need a new paper ticket each day. That said, whatever tickets you use for the voucher must cover the day of use - some moldy old ticket from days or weeks or years ago won't work. That means your one-day paper travelcard from two days ago won't work at the Tower tomorrow, get it?

No. That's not a National Rail station.

You are also using "Travel card" and "paper ticket" interchangeably. That is incorrect. What you need is a PAPER one-day travelcard or seven-day travelcard purchased from a NATIONAL RAIL station - it will be flimsy, business card size, have orange bordering and plastic coating, and the old Brit Rail emblem on it. A travel card can be loaded onto an Oyster card for the Tube/bus, etc., and that will do you no da-n good for the vouchers.

If by "paper ticket" you mean whatever ticket you obtained for travel on a national rail line to get to your destination, that's going to look like a paper travelcard and vice versa (see pic here under "Reading your tickets": http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/servic...journey/search)

Now calm down and stop shouting fer crissakes.

You have to have a train ticket for that travel day, but I recall that if you have a return ticket, you can use the vouchers during the entire period, whether or not it's a travel day. You have to be sure to not let the machine eat your first ticket show you can prove your arrival date.

The *paper* 7 day travel card is best if you are London for 4-5 days or Longer. It is very handy as you don't need to worry about tube where you need to top off an Oyster card etc and it even gives you head-of-the-line privilages at some places. However, you will need a small passport size picture, which they affix to the card. You don't need a real photo, even a xerox of a photo will do. You can only buy a this at a train station like Victoria.

Also, ignore the stupid comments about shouting and calming down. If some people have trouble read all-caps, that's their problem.
