London Apartments

I am trying to decide on apartment options for a March family trip to London. I used the central london apartments site and the connections management group. There are 2 apartments that looked ok.. one was Kensington Square Apartments at Kensington Square and the other was on Curzon Street. Has anyone had experience with these places? Is one location better than the other?
Thanks so much.
Nikki

I'm not familiar w/ either agency, but both locations are fine.

Both are close to the park - albeit at opposite ends, both are near more than one tube station, and both are in posh neighborhoods.

All things being equal, I'd probably choose Curzon simply because it is walking distance to a few more sites.

But really - I'd just pick the one that looks nicest or has the best rate.

One piece of advise - avoid Londonchoice.com. We just came back from 10 days in London. No Internet as advertized; no heat for 2 days; rat in the bedroom; and very unresponsive management.

Kensington Square is where the designer Paul Smith lives when he's in London. Very nice as it is, it's a little out of the centre - it's slightly west.

Curzon St. is in Mayfair, is right in the heart of everything so is the much better bet.

I've stayed at Citadines at Holborn a few times - they have other locations- but Holborn is close to a tube stop (but walking distance to many tourist sites) and near a grocery store so one needn't lug groceries too far. www.citadines.com
