Fodors london

I'm afraid I haven't followed. Please would you say, what dangers lurk in the theatre area of London ?

Meanwhile, I can say that I'm afraid the area is too expensive to have bed and breakfast. Apartments are listed in
http://www.cenlonap.co.uk
http://www.priceapts.co.uk
http://www.vacationspot.com

As to hotels, a relevant list is this, with prices from spring this year.

Hotels on Strand and Westminster Bridge Road

http://www.travelinn.co.uk/find/search_frameset.jsp
Travel Inn County Hall. £62.95 or 107 US dollars

http://www.royaladelphi.co.uk/index.htm
http://www.demon.co.uk/hotel-uk/adelphi.html#
Royal Adelphi Hotel. From £45 or 80 inc breakfast, 77 to 136 dollars

http://london.hotelguide.net/data/h100241.htm
Strand Palace Hotel. £159 to 199, 270 to 338 dollars

Welcome to London

Ben Haines

You're pretty safe in London, particularly in the centre, as there are ALWAYS people around. If you see an evening show at the theatre your biggest threat, on leaving, is getting your feet stood on as there are so many people all moving at the same time. However if you want a really life threatening scenario, try getting into a restaurant for an after-theatre dinner !! you COULD starve!

Travelodge/County hall excellent value.

Fodpors

Mine must be a powerful eyebrow! (Indeed, nowadays barbers ask me whether they should trim them. I say no. I plan to die looking like a retired admiral).

Please can you send me web addresses for any pages that offer reductions on hotel rooms on or near the Strand ? Namely, the Royal Adelphi, the Charing Cross Thistle, the Strand Palace, and the Meridien Waldorf Astoria. My note on disc only has full rack rate prices.

Ben Haines

Fodors

Dear Mr Wilson,

I'm afraid there are no through trains between Poznan and Leipzig. People change trains at Berlin East station (Ostbahnhof). It's an easy change: there are lifts and luggage trolleys. Berlin to Leipzig is two hours by InterCity express, and Poznan to Berlin three hours by EuroCity express: all these trains have restaurant cars.

A longer but cheaper treip lies viaWroclaw. This is two hours from Poznan and six hours (including a change of train) from Leipzig.

If you'll tell me more about "nice" and give me a price range I may have a suggestion for a hotel in Poznan. And if you'll choose a route of travel I'll give you some train times.

Welcome to Europe

Ben Haines, London
