traveling solo to london mid oct 2000 for 1 week. i would appreciate suggestions for hotel, b and b, or apt. rental in the covent garden area. i want to be able to walk safely around the theater area in the eve. within 2-3 blocks of tube. prefer moderate price range no more than $170 a night. plus not a lot of stairs. thanks

You're pretty safe in London, particularly in the centre, as there are ALWAYS people around. If you see an evening show at the theatre your biggest threat, on leaving, is getting your feet stood on as there are so many people all moving at the same time. However if you want a really life threatening scenario, try getting into a restaurant for an after-theatre dinner !! you COULD starve! <BR> <BR>Travelodge/County hall excellent value.

It's an easy change: there are lifts and luggage trolleys. Berlin to Leipzig is two hours by InterCity express, and Poznan to Berlin three hours by EuroCity express: all these trains have restaurant cars. <BR> <BR>A longer but cheaper treip lies viaWroclaw. This is two hours from Poznan and six hours (including a change of train) from Leipzig. <BR> <BR>If you'll tell me more about "nice" and give me a price range I may have a suggestion for a hotel in Poznan.
