If you're a grown-up you can wear what you please, eh? "Trainers" (tennis shoes) are fine. London is a big, world-class city and I'm sure they've already seen anything that you can come up with.<BR><BR>I wear a tie probably 355 days a year and when I'm on holiday I'll bloody well do with out it. I would not be caught dead in white tennies, either, for that matter.<BR><BR>If you're going to a pub leave the tie in your room. If you're attending a funeral, a wedding, or are being knighted by the Queen, by all means wear a tie.

London is the "trash can of Europe" therefore whatever you wear will be OK. Londoners tend to think that they are the epicentre of the world but that is because that are wearing rose tinted glasses or are totally blind and have never been anywhere else.
