Can someone tell me what LOL (or lol) means? Sorry, I'm not very good at foreign languages (JOKE ok!)

mmmmm so glad we got that sorted out. Now, to further my education, is it pronounced "loll" or " el - oh - el" ?

I don't actually read much internet posting stuff to others "out loud", so not sure what is the need to be able to pronounce it. But if I did, I would pronounce it "laff owwt lowwd". <BR>
