Ok, I am thinking a visit to Richelieu, then to Chateau de Breze and tour the underground caves, then on to Samur for a walk around, lunch then a winery.
Is this too much for a day? I want to see a lot but don't want to 'Rush'. So much to do in this lovely region!
Any Saumur winery suggestions or places for lunch?
Thanks so much everyone.

Well Richelieu is a town whose site is itself - nothing much to see individually but still seems like a rather very rushed day. Driving may take longer than you think.

Candes-Saint-Martin and Montsoreau are right next to each other and both are on the list of Plus Beaux Villages. If you drive to the top of the hill you can see the confluence of the Vienne and the Loire. I'd say if you are nearby the villages are worth a stop.
