Lodging in Appenweier, Germany
Can someone recommend a place to stay in Appenweier? My family of 5 needs just 1 night's lodging there. We'd prefer a gasthaus or inexpensive hotel since we often have to book 2 rooms.
Thanks!

The town of Oberkirch is very close nearby, and has at least a half dozen places from which to choose. I took a group of 16 to the Gasthof Ochsen there in 2000, and it is/was an excellent bargain at about 30 € per person per night, with breakfast and free parking.
Best wishes,
Rex

Oh my goodness - - further silly me - - I had tried www.appenweier.de (but spelled it wrong) and concluded (incorrectly) that the town had no such website.
But typing it in correctly this morning, I see that there is an excellent website - - and moreover, hereis ANOTHER place where I have actually stayed also (different trip)!

Similarly priced and very charming restaurant.
It is in a little village (Nesselried) which is technically a little "annex" to Appenweier itself.
