Lodging Ideas needed for Venice.
We will be staying in Venice for 2 nights at the end of a cruise. We are specifically looking for a smaller place, clean, updated, under $200 per night. We like b and b's, but smaller hotel would be fine too. thanks.

Although we normally use airbnb as our first resource for bookings in Italy, we have found booking.com to work well in Venice. You can filter by B&B, hotel, apartment and, of course, price ranges. You should find a number of well-located options within your budget.

We stayed here for a week in 2016 at Christmastime and loved it. The room was huge and commodious. Only slight oddity was that there were no staff at night so you had to figure out how to get yourself in and out: Good breakfast was included.

We stayed in this wonderful small hotel https://www.cadogaressa.com/en/ last summer in 2018. I personally find the Cannaregio area convenient and practical for a short Venice stay.
