oh Susan, Soglio is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I hope you are staying at the Hotel Salis, but if not at least sit in their garden and have lunch. They make all their pasta there...yum! The entire Engadine valley is so charming.....except for St Moritz. I loved taking the train to Scuol and working backward through the villages...Tarasp, Ardez, etc. The hike from Guarda to Ardez is easy and pretty.

Yes, I'm staying at Palazzo Salis. I suppose I should write back and request a view room! I'm so looking forward to this trip!! Maybe I should have planned to stay 3 nights in Soglio instead of two (will stay three nights in Guarda).

I think two in Soglio will be fine. I answered you on your other thread, btw. The only "view" we had was out to the street with just a hint of mountain. Doesn't matter, there are views all around!
