Maggie, thanks for continuing. I love, love your story and pictures. Thanks for including the camera makes and models. I know that it is NOT the camera but the photogrpaher who makes a picture, but it is interesting to me as I am looking for a small pocket camera to take when I am too tired of dragging the DSLR. In fact, I was just looking at the latest version of the SX 210 at the cmaera store yesterday. It's longish telephoto really appealed to me.
As for laughing so hard the stuff (non snot)comes out of my nose, well maybe there needs to be a new abbreviation for that sort of laughing. Instead of ROFL, it might be LSHMNISF. (Laughing so hard my nose is spouting food) And what fun would life be if we had to take everything seriously?!

I'm baaaaack : )
So it's been a shamefully long time since I posted an installment of our adventures - but the next one has been posted! And the others are already written, so we should be able to post them regularly now!
Thanks for waiting and thanks for all your kind words - it's great to share our adventures with people who love traveling as much as we do!
Here's a link to the latest - just use the category drop down to select "Ireland" if you need to catch up.

I fer sure thought your bar story would end with the guys taking you fishing!!

Your experiences in Ireland were remarkably similar to ours. I can't wait to read about your adventures after Dingle. BTW, that beach where you were swamped by waves is Coumeenole Beach. My absolute favorite beach anywhere ever!

Maggie- Thanks for report, very good reading. Love the Muckross Abbey pics as it was surrounded by scaffolding when we were there.
My wife is also a 'Guinness Girl' (retired Army SGT, tough gal), that always seems to give her street cred in pubs....as I drink my Smithwicks in the corner. I just can't get the Black stuff down.
Please continue w/ the report...

Ha! I agree completely with you about so many things in this installment. The anti-charms of Killarney vs. the charms of Kenmare, O'Donnabhain's (we stayed there, too, fantastic!), the magic allure of Bulmer's, and the great quality and diversity of the Irish trad singers... enjoying every bit!
