If by chance you have the store Tuesday Morning where you live, they oftenhave great bargains on Limoges boxes. But even apart from that, I've seen higher prices in general in France in the last few years than in the USA, and I have quite a Limoges collection and have even shopped IN Limoges itself. They sell Limoges boxes in at least one store at CDG airport, too, and I found a nice little bargain there last year.
This doesn't mean you shouldn't go and window shop, of course

Window shopping is definitely on my list! Thanks again, and I'll at least be sure to get an idea about comparative prices before going over there. I have only one piece, and it was a gift from my sister.

One shop that specializes in these is Marechal at 232, rue de Rivoli. They have a large selection, you have to kind of go down a winding stairway to a basement room. They aren't cheap, but no more than anywhere else I saw. The prices never seemed to vary that much on Limoges. There are several nice gift stores in that general block. Here's their URL

I also shop at Marechal while in Paris and they will put you on their mailing list if your request. Every so often I receive a nice color photo listing of their new boxes with price list. It is fun to shop that way too!

Have also bought at Marechal in paris but now buy from Gas Light Antiques in San Francisco. They have the largest selection of anything I've ever seen. they are on line and are very reasonable. Paris is not cheap for limoges boxes (or anything else for that matter) but oh so much fun to buy one and add to your collection. Everytime you look at it you have wonderful memories of your trip.

It's been a few years since I've been to Paris, but the last time I was there, we went out of the city a bit and found a Limoges "outlet" so to speak. The prices were a bit reduced but the selection was unreal, better than what we'd seen in the more touristed areas. I'll look up in my notes how we got there and where it was...I thought it was a worthwhile excursion. For others in the know, there was a crystal shop/museum on the same street???
