leaving next week, please help

Hi:<BR>I am visiting spain for the first time and I am really pressed for time. After spending a day and night in Granada, I will be driving towards Ronda. I plan to spend the night in Ronda, but than I don't know what to do. I will be driving to Seville as my final destination, but I have an extra day between my stay in Ronda and Seville. Please advise as to where I should go from Ronda on my way to Seville. Thanks in advance<BR><BR>Sans<BR>

I'm not familiar with Ronda, but I've spent time in both Granada and Seville and you may want extend your visit to either place by a day instead of hopping to another town. Both cities are fun and beautiful. The cathedral in Sevilla is a must-see. Lots of gold iconography and amazing architecture. You'll have a blast no matter what you decide!

How many days are you spending in Seville? Two should be the absolute minimum. As far as Ronda, this beautiful town is located in a basin surrounded by mountains. The drive up and down to Ronda is a bit treacherous, so you want to do both ways on daylight. Once there, the narrow streets and the layout of the town will blow you away. For things to do in Ronda, see <BR>http://travelinginspain.com/Ronda.html<BR><BR>You could spend a day in Ronda till mid-afternoon and head out to Seville for dinner. The Arab Baths in Ronda are the best preserved in Europe, so that's another worthy reason to hang out in Ronda.

Hello Sans,<BR>Ronda - take a walk around the base of the cliff/gorge. Find the path on the outside of the town which will give views looking up at the massive. You'll see when you get there.<BR>Let me know how to get tickets for the Alhambra - Granada, in advance. I'm going next Easter - 2002, having had no luck in obtaining tickets last Easter - 2001.<BR>Enjoy your trip.<BR>Greg

We did it the other way around. We left Seville one morning heading for Ronda, where we were spending the night at the Parador. We thought we'd stop for lunch in Arcos, one of the beautiful white towns. Actually when we got there it was far too early for lunch, but we poked around for a hour or two and then took our time driving on to Ronda still arriving there in time for a late lunch. But if you really want to spend the night somewhere between, I'd either suggest Arcos, or once you get out to the main highway just beyond Arcos, make a short detour down to Cadiz for a night. It's only a couple hours drive from there up to Seville.

My goal is not to lecture you, "Sans", but hopefully to catch the attention of other inexperienced visitors thinking about posting a request for help.<BR><BR>PLEASE include something about the information you are seeking in the header of your posting - - NOT something about you and your circumstances. Remember that this header will be in/on the forum FOREVER; they NEVER get removed, nor edited.<BR><BR>It's a never-ending battle to prevent this forum from becoming an endless series of messages titled "Please help", "I need to find out" and "Does anybody know?"<BR><BR>It's also helpful to use a verb that conveys whether you are asking for information or offering it unsolicited (as in a trip report, announcement, warning, etc).<BR><BR>A much better header for this thread would be "Seeking stops between Ronda and Seville".<BR><BR>Best wishes,<BR><BR>Rex<BR>
