Leaving for Switzerland tomorrow morning!

I am so ready! We're looking forward to seeing Luzern for the first time and exploring some parts of the country that we've never been to before. It really helps to have a family member that lives there!

I'm so jealous! Have a great trip and please be sure to post about it upon your return! I am planning a Switzerland trip for next year and love to hear from people who have been there.

Thanks! This is my 3rd visit and there's always something new to see. My mother in law always has great things planned for us to do - not to mention some great food.

Arrrggg!!!! I'm jelous. I love Luzern. One of my favorite spots on earth. And having a local guide...that's just too much.

I wish I was out on the lake in a paddle boat right now...

I'm just a little concerned about the weather forecast...looks like rain for the first week we're there..Maybe weather.com is wrong!!

I recently spent a week in Interlaken. Weather.com forecasted rain/snow every day of my trip. Well, it snowed heavily the first day followed by 6 glorious days of sun and NO clouds. Have a Great Trip!!!! Mike

Thanks for the positive attitude Mike! I hope they're wrong. I don't mind a little rain, it's what makes Switzerland so green and beautiful. And that would give me more time to shop and eat...

I'll take Switzerland on a rainy day over sunshine on a work day anytime!! I wish I were leaving tomorrow, but I must wait until August. I will look forward to your report when you return.

Re: weather - it looks like you have a bit of bad luck, but it won't be too bad.

Indeed, tomorrow rain all day, snow down to 1000 m elevation. But it will become better the next days, showers only, quite cold though. From weekend on slightly warmer - 16 Celsius.

I would not mind. Clouds make for a special mood in the mountains and around the lakes. And what is nicer than the sun coming out after some rain?

Enjoy your time in Switzerland,

Ingo
