Leaving for Spain in 3 days.....

I am so excited to be going to Spain - starting in Madrid and flying to La Coruna - Gijon - San Sebastian and some small villages nearby and in between....

I am just so excited..... I wonder if the World cup Fever will be in high gear on Wednesday??!!

I am packing tonight!!

Enjoy. We liked La Coruna and San Sebastian. Didn't make it to Gijon but went to some places nearby. Are you driving? Do you have all your reservations? Try to get to Ribadesella on the Asturian coast. We love the Villa Rosario there and the town is delightful. So is restaurant Arbidel.

We do have reservations. OUr friends from madrid have organized most of the trip,... we actually have a wedding there next weekend. They will have a car so we will be driving - Thank you for the suggestion for Ribadesella!

We also enjoyed Llanes not too far from Ribadesella. That whole coast is fun with lots of delightful fishing villages. Cudillera is west of Ribadesella but if you'll be in A Coruna you may pass it along the way. If so, try to go in. It's a really fun place. I could go on and on. You'll love the whole experience. Enjoy.

Nope it is over now; at least until the team get back home. Then more dancing in the streets...more than likely in Madrid only.

Thanks - the count down starts!!! I am so overwhelmed with work that I have not focused on how fun this trip will be!!

I cant wait to see this part of the country and eat the food I have heard so much about. I really cannot wait to eat the Ham at the tapas bar - huge craving!!!!

If you're into jamón, don't miss out on the Jamón de Jabugo in Bar La Capa in San Sebastián (Calle 31 de Agosto in the Parte vieja/Old town). As good as it gets!
