Leaving Cinque Terre to Milan

I'm confused! I am staying in Monterosso. Does it make more sense to take train back to La Spezia to go to Milan, or go to Sesti Levante and on to Milan from there. Does it really matter. I am making a reservation for Last Supper and wanted to figure out approx time I would arrive in Milan. Help please!!

When you get to Italy buy a train timetable at any newstand. Look at the various options and you'll figure out which makes more sense.

I would wait, but I want to make my reservation to Last Supper now before I leave. I am in Milan on a saturday, which I have read can be a busier time to see the artpiece.

We have twice taken the 11am direct train fom Monterosso to Milan, arriving around 2 and easily making our late pm appointment to see the Last Supper.<BR>Piece of cake. Good Luck.

Thanks Steve. Just printed the timetable. I had bookmarked the website earlier, but someone told me there were no direct trains from Monterosso. Mille Grazie!
