Le Regent or Duquesne Eiffel???
Have reservations at both hotels for our family of four. A luxury room and a standard room at Le Regent. And Two Connecting rooms at Duquesne , one of which has a balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower. The Duquesne is about $50/night cheaper.

Would like some feedback as to which hotel I should choose. Is one considerably better than the other? How about the locations??

Is anyone else out there irritated by this practice? Having been told many times that a hotel is sold out for particular dates, it makes you wonder how many times the room was just on hold until someone decides! It seems to me that the most sensible thing is to do all your research first, ask a million questions, THEN book a room. This reminds me of that post about people putting their beach towels on poolside chairs at 6 in the morning and never showing up until noontime. In the meanwhile, someone else could be using the chair.

Personally (and it's always personal taste) I would much prefer the Hotel Le Regent. Location is much better, right in the heart of Paris, can't get anymore centrally located, the hotel gets very good reviews. For more Paris information e-mail me: [email protected]
