Le Grand Cafe
Has anyone eaten at Le Grand Cafe? More to the point has anyone been for one of the Privilege Evenings they offer? This sounds like an affordable way to enjoy some Paris nightlife and a nice restaurant at the same time. I have sent for the brochure. Here is the website.

http://www.legrandcafe.com/anglais/default.htm

Hi
I have not eaten there but this is what my Zagat guide for Paris restaurants says
"Though this big, 24-hour brasserie strikes some as a factory with ordinary food and service, its location near the Opera Garnier makes it ideal post-curtain and it's handy for night owls...Successfully restored rococo Belle Epoque decor."
I went to their website and I will add that purely personally, for the money there are so many charming and beautiful
restaurants with consistently good food that I would make another choice, but that's me.

Hi Nancy:I have no ax to grind one way or the other. We ate there several times when we were in Paris. I'm not familiar with their Privilege Evenings, but it's a great restaurant. The second floor is even more classy than the Main Level. Food was excellent and prices were not cheap but relatively inexpensive for Paris. Enjoy!!!Paul J
