Le Cheval Blanc in Bléré

Ariving last month for our annual stay, we were dismayed to learn that the Bleriots have retired.

The marvelous meals we looked foreward to and enjoyed every year are no more.

A bummer to say the least.

Oh NO!!!!

It was my all-time favorite restaurant in France...

Is it closed, or just under new management?

St Cirq...

I was thinking of you when making this post and knew you'd be apalled! You sent us there a few years ago!

Still open, new owners. Same menus except for the desserts, but different preparations. Keeping the same printed menus a definite insult.

No more "Crepe Souffle Grand Marinier"...no more "Assiette Gourmand"...

Drats! I knew we should have passed by this summer!

Theirs was a class of service and quality of cuisine that get harder and harder to find (sigh).

I e-mailed Michelin advising that the star be removed, and they replied, so we'll see what happens.
