Google maps shows the lavender field. Although there was no lavender blooming when the picture was taken.

Thanks for all of your usual good info Stu. Funny you should mention bribing the driver. Earlier today I called Princess to ask if they would drive past the lavender fields since we're so close by. The rep suggested that I ask the driver to go by them. I could ask that question, while waving euros in the air. 😀

Note on the Google map. On departing Bonnieux, you'll probably initially get on the D194, which will soon merge with the D36, and just past the merge - there it is!!!!! Sit on the left side of the car going there. You'll likely return the same way so sit on the right side of the car on the way back through Bonnieux. Fortunately, on the way to & from Bonnieux you'll also be on the best side of the car to get views of Bonnieux. There is a narrow one way road through Bonnieux that has timed red & green lights to regulate the cars.

Good Luck

I have looked into a couple of tours but the cost is very high because they want 6 people in a group. In other words, we will pay for 6 even if there are only 2 of us. We signed up for an excursion going nearby, but I'm still open to a local guide for just 2 people.

UPDATE:

I decided to do more searching. I found a company called Ala Francaise which offers tours to cruise passengers. They will pick up/drop off at the port and the schedule fits perfectly with our time in port. And best of all, we can book individually and not for a group. So I canceled the excursion through Princess and booked this one.

Thank you all for helping this to come together.

Well done
The company is called A la Francaise https://www.alafrancaise.fr/en/ rather than Ala only a minor issue but it might save you some complications

P_M so happy you have a solution. As for the cost of a private tour, this clearly is an occasion to apply the Moscow Theory of Shopping:

1. Do you want it?
2. Will you be back this way again?
3. Do you have the money on you?

1. Yes
2. Maybe, maybe not
3. Yes

Since this company allows individual booking and not as a group, we will pay €130 each, which is about the same cost as the sold out excursion from the ship.
