I'll be with you in spirit at that haircut! Love you too, Benita! Enjoy the rest of your trip to Paris. I've been sharing bits and pieces to hubby and he says we need to go back soon!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO 63!!!! Formally known as 62. XOXOXO

Simpson- I have tears of joy for you. Lots of love.

As for the rest of this report...I can hardly control myself from having 66's bladder problem.

I can only imagine what crazy mess the two of you got into today. Can't wait to hear all about it!

XOXOXO

This is wonderful, only about half-way through but commenting quickly so I won't lose it.

Don't get me started on showers, one of which was at the Clément!

Tuesday. Took bus to opera and went to Galleries home store. 62 wanted kitchen towels and she loves the blankie on our bed so wanted to try to find one. I have no idea how we would get it home but she wanted one. II haven't decided whether we are good together or not. We are having a ball but whatever she buys I buy and whatever I buy she buys. Not practical we have to get everything home.

I digress, sorry, could not find blankie but found towels again monkey see monkey do. Spent some time in the basement. It is very similar to the Bon grocery store so since it was early fun to just walk around with no other customers. Went to ground floor for coffee and croissant and sat outside. Needed to fuel up for a day of power shopping. Over to gl to find some perfume for 28 that she likes. They do not carry it so tried Printemps no go there. Decided to head toward Maille mustard for pistachio mustard we had tried earlier in the week. But on the way while crossing the street I spied a sign that said cashmere. We did an about face went into the store. Did some damage but it was minimal. asked clerk if she knew perfume place and fortunately it was a few doors down. Then saw a honey shop and of course went in again very minimal damage. Went into a spoon shop. I love small spoons so found some more. Love to eat my oatmeal with small spoons. Do not know if it is because the food lasts longer or it makes me feel like a baby. Need Freud to figure that one out.

Found mustard and Laudree again minimal damage. Now the fun begins.

Started at longchamp somewhat major damage but is certainly getting easier to spend money. Bought something fab for 42. Can't wait to give it to her. then to Hermes. Oh boy those scarves are beautiful. Not as much damage as I could have done. I guess if a store fills out forms for detax then we could say there was damage. By this time we had quite a few packages and decided to take a cab back to apartment and drop them off before heading to Louie on the Champs.

We were hungry. You know all this shopping makes these ladies hungry. So decided to go for crepes on rue clear. My favorite Greek restaurant for crepes. but on the wAy 62 spied a store that sold tops she had been looking for. The sales clerk we refer to as the historian. This woman obviously had not gotten in her all her words because she never shut up. She wais telling us all about France getting out maps telling us about Provence took forever to make. Purchase and 62 loves to talk and since this woman spoke English they both were in heaven. I am standing outside hoping she will move faster but no go Fargo. Finally after 30 minutes we were ready to leave. Had our crepe and took cab to Louis

66- I just spit out my coffee, after reading that you bought kitchen towels. I can safely assume that those are for me, as you manage to keep you appearances in the kitchen extremely limited! Merci Beaucoup.

It's official- 66 has gone over the edge. We all know that when packing weight is always an issue. Mustard at Laudree? Seriously? I travel to NY on a regular basis! There are TWO stores in NYC. It's the same darn product! I can't catch my breath I'm laughing so hard.

Please remember that just because it is sold in Paris you don't always need it!
HMMMM can't help but wonder how may weeks it going to take to unpack all of your "OH I NEEDED THAT" treasure?

For those of you that might feel I'm being negative...66 is not just my mother, she is my best friend! My comments are out of love, and the fact that 47 and I will be the ones lugging all of her luggage for her and unpacking it. Because we all know that 66 will be sleeping for the next two weeks after this insane adventure! The "Queen" as she is known here at home will need her beauty sleep.

LOVE you both so much. Keep the TR coming.

I can't believe I might get a chance in Paris to see Benita again. She writes the funniest Trip Report since MaiTaiTom went to Tuscany a few years ago.

This is a classic. I'm with Carol: "Underwear man?" More please.

If you want to start sending extra stuff home, I hope you know about the prepaid parcel boxes sold at the post office. Even though they are specified for various weights, they will almost always accept anything that you can stuff into the box, no questions asked.

I don't know about shopping in Europe. I never find much to buy because it is all more expensive than at home.

>>a kitchen cook said to me Madame toilets are right there (on the ground level) I had walked right past them. I pretended I had just wanted to walk up six levels of stairs but he knew and I knew what.<<

I'll bet a lot of women walk up six flights of stairs to see the view from up there!

This is such fun!
