I am in Falmouth. Did not see anyone offering anything. We thought the people in the tents were public employees. We were about 15th in the second line. There was some guy that came by and said something in French. Then he stood about 5 people in front of us and talked to some guy for a long time. Amazing building. I was the one who was sleeping in the second chair on the right in the ballroom. I think it was the ballroom. Are you still in Paris?

Reading all of this amazing report, I knew that no matter what, there were going to be baggage problems at the airport.

Wonderful, fun TR, benitakaren. You are my travel hero and the first person I've "met" who names her luggage!

Brava!

Wonderful trip report Benita! How fresh and honest with almost nothing held back! What fun! Admitting to all the of the things we never tell our friends back home about our "fabulous" trips to Paris. Plus all of the shopping - WOW! Thank you!

Terrific report! Glad I stayed tuned for the day by day exploits you two got up to.
May I ask where you got your hair done? I'll be in Paris next month and would love to have a cut while there.

Yes, what Cigale said. I wish you and 63 (formerly known as 62) could just stay in Paris and report back to us. That would solve your baggage problems, as well.

Today is our last day in Paris, but tomorrow we're heading to Picardy to see cathedrals and WWI sites. Then to Iceland for a couple of days.

Travelchat-I got my hair cut at Thierry Elia, 116 rue St Dominique, 75007, Paris. This was the fourth time Thierry has cut my hair and I have adored each cut. I just say I want a Parisan chic cut and he chops away. 63 said I looked younger after the cut. What could be better than that. I think a wash, cut and style was around 60 euros.

MaineGG-have a wonderful rest of your trip and safe trip home. Iceland sounds like fun.

For all of you who thought I did a lot of shopping, boy were you right. Just checked my cc balances and holy moly I sure had fun. Oh well, easy come, easy go. I will just have to work extra hard and then start saving for our next adventure. We are thinking about Italy but my Fodor's friends at the Boston GTG said I should go to Bangkok. They said it is relatively easy on the pocketbook and they will make clothes for you. Can't you just imagine how much fun it would be to get made to measure clothes. Oh the damage I could do!

______________

Only problem is one can't gain or lose weight without going back to Bangkok! Or maybe it would be a good excuse. Please keep on traveling and posting.

Thanks, benitakaren. I hope to fit a hair cut in while in Paris now that I have your recommendation. I, too, hated to see this report end. It was such fun while it lasted.
But, oh, those credit card bills! Glad they're not mine.

This has to be one of the best trip reports I have ever seen. I leave for France tomorrow and I read the entire thing to my DH last night. We were laughing so hard we were crying. Thanks for the great report.

travelchat- If you are able to get your haircut from Thierry, I highly recommend it. He has cut mine twice and I loved it both times. I have to agree with 63, 66 looks like she lost 10 years in Paris!

I too hated to have this report end. I am heading to Dubai in three weeks for a two week business trip, and would love to have 66 write my adventure for me. Maybe I can commission 66 to do just that. After each days Skype call back home to my children, she can blog my events. After all, we do share a brain and she needs the money after seeing her cc bills!

SO STAY TUNED...... I can't imagine what the title will be?
Blonde in Dubai....
I need mom's credit card.......
Sweet Mercy-Sweating to death in Dubai......
