In Paris there's one Rue de Seine, just two doors off Rue Buci. There's another one just a few blocks away on Rue Seguier just off Rue St. Andre des Arts. Both are totally self service, inexpensive, and with instructions posted in English. We found one in Amsterdam, but don't have a map here so can't quite tell you where it was. Actually there are a number of them in Amsterdam, but not as many as in Paris. Can't help you with Brussels or Luxembourg -- our clothes were all still clean!

I would suggest you simply look in the Yellow Pages when you get there, they should be listed. In Paris, that would be under "laveries, libre service". I'm sure the concierge or desk clerk of the hotel you are staying at can either recommend the closest one or help you with the phone book.

Christina, sounds like a good idea, but most self-service laundromats don't have phones therefore are not in the yellow pages. I know from experience. And I am amazed how often and in how many cities the hotel people really don't know where there is a self-service laundromat, only a drop off cleaning establishment.
