tough choice - travel time to each is probably about the same - I think buses are best from Pragaue to CSKrumlov, a town that gets mixed reviews - oh everyone likes it but some have had expectations too high to be fulfilled.

Dresden on the other hand is one of the most fascinating cities in Germany and one that everyone will love for a day out.

Two very different places - I'd take Drisden for sure.

I think a day trip to Dresden is short changing that city. I'm planning 5 days in Dresden and won't get to see all the major sights.

Add a day to Budapest or Prague or choose a location closer to Prague for a day trip.
