DH and I will be in Amsterdam for four nights total. The first three nights we have reserved at the Hotel Pulitzer, using Starwood points. We are not sure what to do about the last night, as we have an 8:00 a.m. flight out of Schiphol!!

I'd just hate to miss out on any time in Amsterdam, since our time there is so short to begin with. Is there a way via PT to get to the airport that early to make an 8:00 flight? Should we just go ahead and stay at the Pulitzer another night, or should we plan on staying at the airport that final night? I could reserve the airport Sheraton on Starwood points as well.

That's the Netherlands Railway website. The train from Amsterdam Central station to Schipol takes only 18 minutes, and there are trains at:

05:35

The 05:35 will get you to the airport by 05:53, if you want to arrive 2 hours in advance.

Vienna is now one of my favorite cities, after visiting for the first time in December. I hope to get back there with DH next spring or summer.

Hey jenblase, how come I didn't see a Vienna trip report from YOU from your Dec 2008 trip?

We also stayed at the Pulitzer and spent the last night at the airport at the what I believe was the Westin. Used points+ cash for both. Moved to the airport after dinner. Cost a bit less this way and it is nice to be able to get to the terminal in the early am with a short few minute walk.
