Thank you both for the information! Where can I get a list of locations where we can see the fallas? I would rather not just have to wander all over Valencia trying to find them since we will only be there for a short time.
Thanks again,
Matt

focus on special section fallas, which will being set up thos days, smaller fallas will be set up in the days 14 and 15.
Special section fallas in the center
Ayuntamiento

Pilar (don't miss this as it's in an small square)
Merced
Na Jordana
Cadarso Altea
Regne Valencia
some others are 1stA category (silver category) or 1stB(bronze category) are also worth to take a look how are set up and are close to monuments of interest in Valencia
1A Quart-Palomar (behind quart towers)
1A Mercado central (central market and silk exchange)
1A SVicente-Azzatti (in the left side of the city hall)
1A Ribera-Sta Clara in the avenue from the north station to the ayuntamiento square
1B Pza Reina-S Vicente in the square in front of the cathedral
Several 1A 1b and other in street Cirilo Amoros (by the Colon market) and nearby Altea street
my map with locations of fallas and updated with the categories of 2012 (may change every year)
