annhig - I see that you have booked your Bologna trip and are planning to go to Ravenna for a weekend. Be sure to have dinner (maybe two!) at Trattoria La Rustica, our favorite restaurant during our trip last month.

oh, that does look nice. I've printed off the details.
I don't know what excursions the language school will be offering but I'm determined to get to Ravenna one way or another. Thanks for the tip.
