Lake Guarda or Lake Lugano

My Fiancé and I are going to spend our Honeymoon in Northern Italy/Southern Switzerland. We have 10 days. We have 2 thoughts
1. Start at Guarda, then Como then Maggiore. 2. Other thought is Lugano, Maggiore then Como.

Any thoughts of which is a better choice?

Thanks,

Michael

Good afternoon, Michael
My vote would be Lugano, it slightly
larger than the others and there is
certainly much more to do, some excellant ristorantes and etc in a
very close area, had a couple of pair
of days at the Lugano Dante, which has
its own section of beach, however was
there in October or November, so swim-
ming was out of the question.
Very good ristorante is the Italian
ristorante SAYNORA...
Surf into www.ticinoinfo.ch/
www.ticinonline.ch/
www.swisshotels.ch/
www.hotel-luganodante.ch/
www.waiviala.com./au/swiss/lugano/lugano.htm...
Richard of Hickory Hills, IL
Michael,

Como and Garda are the most beautiful. Must do is Bellagio on Como....very romantic. Try Hotel Florence in Bellagio. Some great hotels in Sirmione
on Garda: Hotel Grifone, Albergo Sirmione.

Michael, The airport will dictate. You
can do 3 destinations in your 10 days
but why make it hard. If Milan is the
answer then you need to stay west and
also hit Lake Orta from Stresa--or vice
versa. Garda is too far east to add
when you have so many great options so
close together. I would do 3 nites each
in Stresa, Lugano, and Bellagio. All of this is within an hour of Malpensa.
Holler if you need details.

I want to follow up my questions:
On Lake Como:
Bellagio...I don't know if you have been at Villa de'este in Cernebbio. Sounds great, but on the expensive side. Will we be giving up much is we stay at Gd H. Villa Serbelloni (in Bellagio?)

Any suggestions about places to stay on Lake Orta? (I haven't done much research on Orta)

Lugano- Any places to stay suggestions?

Stresa- On Maggiore- So many palces to stay, any sugestions.

By the way, if possible, we were hoping to find places in the $350-$450 range (except for the first place on Lake como (Which I know are considerable more expensive). We are hoping to find all places with a pool and a garden.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Michael
