Fly to Venice. Drive( we have done this numerous occasions, 1 1/2 hr. to Tenuta)
2 nts Verona/ Tenuta in the countryside
5 nts Lake Garda
5 nts Ortisei
2 nts Venice
Perhaps turn in car early and take cab/ waterway from the airport car rental return and then to the airport to fly home.
Any recommendations for stay in Venice that is easily accessible to transportation?

Tenuta Le Cave Agriturismo?

If this was me, I'd train from VCE to Verona and rent/return the car there. The train ride from Venezia-Mestre at the start is just an hour, the 20-mile drive to the agriturismo would be under an hour, and after returning the car the ride from Verona Porta Nuova to Venezia S. Lucia is 90 minutes or less.

FWIW, we've driven after an overnight flight but keep the drive time well under an hour. If there's a train option such as what I describe, we do that. The short train ride really helps, esp. if you take a power nap.

To return home:
Flying out of Venice, probably only one night in the area, have visited previously,
coming from Bolzona area.
We will have a car rental to return. Could return it the day before leaving. Then taxi to airport.
(Had a difficult experience in car return in Milan, nearly missed a flight).
Where is best convenient place to stay?
If wehave enough energy, may go to Venice, but it would be in the evening.
