Lake District to Haworth - England
Can anyone give me an estimate of how long it would take to drive between the Lake District sights like Dove Cottage and Hill Top Farm and the village of Haworth?

HillTop to Haworth will take 2-2.5 hours in decent weather.
Dove cottage to Haworth a little longer. Dove cottage and Hill Top are about 10 miles/30 minutes apart.
Are you thinking of basing in Haworth to tour the Lake District? I wouldn't myself . . .

We were thinking of staying up near Dove Cottage overnight and then driving down to Haworth the next day.
I am debating whether the Lake District is just too far north to try to cram into an already tight trip. We are doing a literary tour of England with my book club and Haworth is a must but debating adding in Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter or not.

When you are in Haworth you are pretty close to Hebden Bridge, with its links to Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath.

In my 2009 trip to UK, I visited Haworth on the way from York to Windermere. The weather turned bad in the afternoon so the trip to Windermere from there took quite a while as I recall probably the best part of three hours. I did a tour with Mountain Goat Tours next day because a fine day was forecast and the next day I did Hilltop, Hawkshead, Rydal Mount, Dove Cottage and Grasmere. I easily covered all that in one day and didn't feel I rushed any of it. I would have lingered longer in Hawkshead and Grasmere maybe but the weather was not my friend that day. My favourite was Rydal Mount and I'd love to be there in fine weather as the view, though moody and evocative while I was there, must be really lovely if you can actually see that lake.
