Kraków vs Prague

Given the option to visit Kraków or Prague, which one would you choose and why?

To be honest, I've visited both several times and do not think either of them is superior to the other for any reason. I went based on my itinerary and what fit in best with the rest of my vacation in a particular year. If you have no particular interest in either one that draws you there more than the one, I'd decide based on my itinerary/flights, things like that. For example, last year I was doing Poland more so went to Warsaw, then Krakow, then flew to Paris to end up.

Another year I wanted to do the CR more and combine it with Germany as I have friends in Dresden so could visit them.

Yet another year, I did both, going into Prague, taking the train down to Olomouc in Moravia and then taking another train over to Krakow.

If you want to visit Prague Castle, go to Prague.
If you want to visit Auschwitz, go to Krakow.

I am blessed in going to both a few times a year for the moment.

One of my goals in Krakow is to see the lady with Hermione.
But I keep missing it... Grrrr.

I prefer food in Krakow.

To me, the choice would depend on your interests, how much time you would be able to spend, what else you will / have seen in the area, the time of year....

<<the lady with Hermione>>

That's "Lady with an ermine" - a da Vinci painting.

As for the original question - the answer depends upon you and your interests more than upon us and ours. Because you've given no insight as to what you're looking for, you've received little to guide you.
