Krakow hotels/Vegetarian restaurants

Hello! I stayed at the Dom Turysty on ul. Westerblatte last week. It was much better than I expected. We had a room on the top floor with a little balcony, TV, phone, plenty of room, a nice bathroom and they left bottled water everyday. Our room was on the front of the building so there was a little street noise, but not bad. Rooms on the back don't have balconies or views. I don't know about the other place but we were quite pleased with the Dom Turysty. It's huge but it was quiet while we were there. Breakfast is in a formal dining room and has the standard Euro selection. It's perfectly located, right on the edge of the old city and close to the train/bus stations. I'd stay there again. Krakow is great! If you have any other questions, feel free to send an e-mail or post them here. <BR>I'm a veg, too, and we had no problems. There are several good Italian places. Most places have English on the menus. We ate at one really good place but I can't remember the name. I'll try to remember to look up names and addresses tomorrow and post them.

By the way, what sort of vegetarian are you? Do you eat dairy foods? There's a veg restaurant on ul. Westerblatte down the street from Dom Turysty (towards Wawel hill). There's also one next to the Jewish book store in Kazmierz (by the Remu'h cemetary). We didn't try either of them. I don't know the names but you can't miss the VEGETARIAN signs.
