It has been pointed out on the other thread that German, like most European, doctors are reluctant to prescribe it unless the person is a risk, and they would probably need to leave the cruise to be supervised while taking it in case something goes wrong.

Ah, sorry OP and heti, didn't see the other thread. I hope he gets better. If he is on a cruise why not just go to the cruise Director, I know Viking can be a bit shoddy but when I did one (though with another company) the queue for ambulances during midday was pretty steady but not especially so given the average age on the boat.

Hi, I haven't been to this doctor but they speak English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Their telephone number is there. They are in Cologne. There may be others, this was just a quick search (you can do the same with ' englischsprachiger Arzt Koeln' or 'englischsprachiger Arzt Koblenz'). I would first find out whether you will be allowed to get back on the ship with the medication as heti and bilbo advise, perhaps by ringing the practice.
