Kiev to Istanbul

Maybe the train situation will be back to normal by then. Odesa (Ukrainian spelling) is a bit out of the way, you might need to go via Chisinau to get to Bucharest, which may require dealing with the border guards in Transnistria.
Suggest buying a train map of Europe - maybe https://www.amazon.com/Rail-Map-Europe-2nd/dp/0995799822/ref=sr_1_3 - and researching on https://www.seat61.com/index.html - for example: https://www.seat61.com/international...st_to_Istanbul or https://www.seat61.com/international...ia_to_Istanbul - both routes that are currently suspended. For schedules use bahn.com.
