Hey all you travelers to Seville, I have been trying to find out the name and location of a very small restaurant where we had dinner 2 weeks ago. It is owned and operated by a precious Spanish woman who is also the cook. There are four tables in her restaurant and she has the best paella in Seville, according to my son and all his friends who live there. It is Bar Baratillo, on Calle Pavia in the Barrio Arenal. She has a guest book that you must sign and of course read all the interesting remarks from others. We walked by earlier in the day to make sure she would reserve a table for our family. It is family style cooking service. Don't miss it.

Want to say I agree with Duke 100%. We are also churched and museumed out. We spent 2 weeks in andlucia last month, and while the typical highlights that everyone goes to see were very interesting, overall we enjoyed the smaller villages and scenic areas the most. We wished we'd had more time in the Grazalema area and in the Alpujarras.

I am new to this site and am beginning to plan a trip to Spain. Is Casa 7 in Seville and how do I find it and/or make reservations?

To find virtually any hotel's website, and/or booking sites that list it, type its name (and city, if you know it) into a search engine like google.com. "casa 7 spain" got me the hotel's site as number one on the hit list. And yes, it is in Sevilla.

http://www.casanumero7.com/

It looks lovely; wish I could afford it! Maribel's recommendations are always good ones.

This site also has a text search feature - type "casa 7" into the box at the top of this page and all posts mentioning it will be displayed. Click on Spain to pull up all threads in that category. Text search for "hotel AND seville" to find all threads containing those two words. Etc.... Happy surfing!

lweber, Carbonerai is on calle Levies off of calle santa maria de la blanca; this is in barrio de Santa Cruz. Hope this helps. This is a popular and impromptu Flamenco.

Two friends and I are doing what seems like a similar trip. We're going from Madrid to Grenada by bus (staying in Grenada for two days), then renting a car and driving to Nerja (staying two days at the Parador), and then driving from Nerja up to Seville. It sounds like Maribel gave you great driving instructions for this route - where can I access them? Also, we want to make a couple of short (not overnight) stops between Nerja and Seville. We might stop in Ronda for lunch or something similar, but I've been to Ronda in the past, so was hoping for recommendations for other towns which wouldn't take us too far off of the Nerja-Seville route. Any thoughts? Also - any restaurant/bar recommendations for Nerja and Granada, and any hotel advice (budget or moderate price) for Granada would be wonderful. Any logistical guidance about the Granada-Nerja-Seville drive would be especially welcome (none of us has ever driven in Spain before)!
