It's at www.balcons.com. Email is [email protected].
I stayed there May 1999 and plan to stay there again in October. Great location, good prices (about $80 for dbl room with bath).

I don't think that 10 days in Paris is too long. Don't forget that there are several nice half day and full day side trips you can take, for instance to Versailles, Girverny, Chartres, etc. I recently returned from 8 days in Paris and it was not enough time to see everything that I wanted to see. Just as I was really getting used to the language and feeling confident with it, I had to leave. Now I must go back! If I could have stayed a little longer, say at least 2 more days, I would have been better satisfied. It's nice to get to know a country and it's people before moving on to another country. Keep in mind that if you are flying from the US, you will be suffering from terrible jet lag in the beginning of your trip, and you and your family will probably want to take it easy at first. This is me,I like to stay in one place, but someone else may feel that visiting a second city in Europe is the thing to do.

This forum just did something really strange!! I sent in a reply to Arnold's question about the Grand Hotel des Balcons, and a reply of mine to a different posting came up here instead. The reply I just sent through disappeared! I can't figure out what happened.
