Just found a Great Online tool
I just signed up with Tripit.com.It's a site that allows you to organize and share your itinerary details with others and to have a really nice streamlined piece of info. for yourself.I'm using it for my trip to Egypt/Jordan/Israel next month.I wish I'd known about it before!

Well, you can do several things with the site.Something I like is that I can forward to them a confirmation e-mail for just about anything, hotel stays, walking tours, taxi services, and it will be placed into the body of your itinerary.Mine is a work in progress,so I'm still learning about all of the features. You can then invite friends/family to view it if you like.

I signed up for and downloaded TripIt when massagediva first posted this and have used it extensively to organize our 3-week+ trip that starts this Thursday. My attempts to "forward" confirmations on airline tickets, etc, were not successful, so I essentially entered all the information myself. So that was a bit time-consuming.
On the other hand, the itinerary now actually looks like a travel professional might have prepared it, I can add/delete as many activities per day as I want, with copious information (e.g., opening/closing times for museums), AND share this information with others - such as family staying behind in the US. Now they not only know how to get in touch with us in the event of an emergency, they'll have some idea of what we're doing each day (maybe that's NOT such a good idea?)

I agree with Sam. I started using TripIt in April after reading massagediva's post. Now all of my reservations and tickets for our upcoming trip to Italy are collected in an organized site. I did have to enter some details from small hotels, etc. myself, but airlines and car rental were automatically entered by forwarding my confirmation emails. This is a nice tool for organizing all the chaos! Also, I like the fact that I can access all this information online, so I don't need to worry about losing hard copies of the information.

I've also am using Tripit as well, to help coordinate a very complicated itinerary to France with three of us coming and going at different times. I also had no luck with getting any of my info automatically entered, but was able to manually enter it myself without difficulty. I will give it to family members to keep track of who's where at what time. Pretty neat what you get on the Net these days!

Thanks massagediva!
What a great website. I emailed my air, car and hotel confirmations and had a basic itinerary made in about 5 minutes. I can't believe how much time I saved. Now I can add the details of the trip as I finalize other plans. My Benelux trip will be so organized!

The other great advantage of tripit, of course, is the ability to access your itinerary while on your travels. We are now ensconced in our apartment in the Palais Royale, heading off on our tour tomorrow with Michael Osman, and I can see what his telephone number is, what time we're meeting, what we're planning to see, etc., all without bringing any of that information with me. And then the same thing for the remaining 19 days of our slow days in France.
What a pleasure!
