Finally, regarding Orvieto, it was a very nice town. Great duomo. Again, not an essential visit if you are visiting other similar hill towns.

Hi
Thank you for a very nice report. You mentioned
>..Osteria Tamborino in Siena. Very good food. Nonsmoking! (Yes, this is my pet peeve).<

I agree. I also dislike restaurants where they won't let one smoke. Ruins the whole meal.

(%&gt

Thanks for the great information. Could you provide some more details on this restaurant in Todi, Pane Y Vino? Price range, type of food, atmosphere? I have a big family group (12-15) that will be converging on Todi this spring & we'd like to all go out to dinner together one night. Thanks again!

Another recommendation for Osteria Tamborino in Siena. My husband and I liked it so much, we went back a second time! The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful.

I apologize for my ignorance, but not familiar with how to review your comments in rants and raves. We also will be traveling to Italy in late May and will be staying at Palazzo Alexander in Lucca. Was curious about your comments regarding this hotel and any recommendations for meals in the area. thanks.

This thread is 7 years old so some of the people that posted on it might not be around anymore. If you want info about a particular hotel, you might be better off starting your own thread.

sorry kybourbon. didn't realize until your post that with the exception of the recent post from secretleaves, that this was an old thread. Oh well! Maybe someone else is familiar with this hotel and can also recommend restaurants.
