Just back from a perfect Honeymoon in Italy

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Italy with a brief stop in London.

Highlights and notes from the Trip:

Varenna:
-Hotel Du Lac Varenna was very nice and very comfortable
-Vechhia Varenna was amazing. The eggplant parmigiana starter is the best single food item I have ever had! (Went back to make sure...!)
-Bellagio was beautiful but a bit busy for our tastes, Varenna was just small enough and sleepy enough for us

Roma:
-St. Peters Basilica (Top of Cupola!)
-Wine Bar near Spanish Steps
-Pantheon
-Trevi Fountain
-Colosseum
-Shopping on side streets around Via del Corso was great with all price ranges
-Roma was our favorite city ever!!!
-Hotel San Carlo was great with an old world feel in the Annex. We will return!

Positano:
-La Rosa Dei Venti - Lebeccio Apartment Very clean and great staff, the Balcony was incredible
-The views in Positano are amazing!
-Next2 Bar
-Positano Cafe
-Hike down to Fornillo Beach
-The vibe in Positano was great
-Greco di Tufo wine
-Buffalo Mozerella

Parma:
-Verde Hotel Suite at the last minute was great
-Park in town was really relaxing
-Found a Prosciutteria Shop and had amazing Prosciutto, Parmagiano and some amazing wines

Toscana:
-San Gimignano was our favorite Hill Town
-Had an amazing lunch with wine at Enoteca Dulcis in San G.
-Toture Mesuem was amazing and frightening in San G.
-Dinner inside the walls of Monteriggioni at Enoteca Il Piccolo was magical
-Expensive small portions of amazing wines in Pienza
-Radda in Chianti was really nice and we had an amazing lunch
-Castello di Verrazzano was a nice tour, geared for non wine drinkers and english speakers

We are now finally planning our next trip - only 2 years and 6 months later - we hoped it would be sooner.
