June 2004 Travel Plans...Post Them Here!

Tell us a little or tell us alot about your small, medium or large travel plans for June 2004.

Any one night away or more will work.

Maybe this thread will survive. The May one crashed and burned and the April one...I forget. Anyway...Have fun. Someone will need to start the July and August ones if you want.

I will lurk when I can. I am doing major travelling for June through September so when I am in town, a day here and there, I am switching pre-packed suitcases and turning out the lights.

Travel details, reports, etc. later...All is very well.

Happy Travels, Happy Research and Happy Travel Posting!

OT

I am off on Thursday morning to London, on business, and taking the weekend in Dublin to see family, drink too much and smoke too much. Back home on early afternoon flight on Tuesday.

At the end of the month, I fly to Paris, for a business seminar at Euodisney (no kidding !), then am taking 10 days vacation in Northern Spain and the French Basque region.

regards Ger

I was going to go to LA this week but my husband has a business meeting in Kauai so I am tagging along for a week beginning June 4. I was going to go to Turkey Run State Park in Western Indiana in July but I won a $7500 education grant to go to France for a month beginning June 27. Darn the luck! Turkey Run will have to waituntil the fall.

We have two weeks coming up in the Loire Valley. My husband is off tomorrow to London, North Yorkshire, and Edinburgh. I still haven't finished completely unpacking (or posting my trip report) from a late May trip to Nice, Milan and Bellagio.

Leaving tomorrow (June 2) for London. Will stay a week and celebrate our 40th anniversary.

Later this month we're helping our youngest daughter move to Sacramento for her summer internship. I'm the only one in the family who hasn't seen the capital so I'm excited.

We may go camping on the coast or in New Mexico later but haven't made "real" plans yet. It will depend on the weather.

June's a slow one for me. I'm going to Connecticut to visit family for a weekend, and to North Carolina for a weekend (I live in DC).

I am going to Clifden, Galway for the weekend coming up. Its a bank holiday in Ireland (3 day weekend) Staying in the Quay house as its all I could get and been reccommebnded on the board. Worried about the last poster I spoke about it with...Hopefully it wont be bad....better not at €125 per night. Thats what I get for waiting last minute. The bikes have been bought and we are going cycling and chilling out. Maybe a swim in Dogs Bay if the weather picks up.

Twelve days in Scotland beginning on June 23. Can't wait!

And before that, a long weekend on Amelia Island with family (Bob, if you read this, your granddaughter is looking forward to the beach...)

Leaving in a week for Mykonos and Crete, then Brussels and Amsterdam (and probably Antwerp and Den Haag) en route. (Or possibly scraping Holland for two days in Paris, if I decide to do so at the last minute.) Will be gone for a week (no need to tell me that I'd be better off doing this trip in two weeks or a month ).

Have fun people.

WELL! Harumph!
I'm just gonna sulk and whimper in pathetic self-pity...and envy...maybe even venturing on to jealousy
