Jean Reno fans

After seeing "The Professional" three times in vids
and now having a DVD player, rented it tonight. I'm more imprssed. Nathalie Portman as a child, and seeing her as she is on Oprah's show is amazing how wholesome but shows her dept.

I was happy to see Jean bite it in Mission Impossible though....but I love his work nevertheless. Natalie is quite good....her performance in Beautiful Girls was slightly disturbing...but certainly showed how talented she was...even at such a young age.

Check out The Crimson rivers, a creepy Jean Reno movie (in French with subtitles) set in a town in the French Alps.

He plays a detective trying to figure out a murder connected to the local university.

It's a bit over the top plot-wise, but entertaining and beautifully photographed.

cigalechanta-

We got it from Netflix a few months ago. Good luck finding it. Posting about it has made me want to see it again, since I can't exactly remember the creepy secret in the town that caused the murder.

Blueswimmer, we rented the DVD of Crimson Rivers tonight and We liked it alot. I am a big fan of Vincent Cassel who is his sidekick here, and his father Jean-Pierre Cassel as is Dominique Sandra wonderful actors that I have enjoyed through the years at the height of their careers (in their cameo roles)Who could forget Sandra in the "Gardens of the Fitzi-Visconti, and "A Gentle Creature"

I just read that the film version of The Da Vinci Code, starring Tom Hanks will feature Jean Reno as the Inspector.

I did read Reno will star in the Da Vinci code but they have not announced the French actress yet to play the cryotologist.
melissa, "The big Blue" is now a cult film.

Jean Reno is also in one of my favorite romantic comedies: French Kiss.

I admit a weakness for this type of film, and French Kiss is great example. Reno is good; actually everyone in the film is good.

Renee: Natalie Portman in Beautiful Girls is truly memorable. And it also stars Timothy Hutton, who is in, of all things, French Kiss!
