Jazz in the Luberon

Does anyone have information about the upcoming Jazz festival in the Luberon? I believe it is from 12-20 of May and we will be in Avignon and St. Remy during that time period. We love jazz and I believe I saw a post about the closing weekend in Apt (19th and 20th).
How does the festival work (times, locations etc.) and what do you do to get tickets?

Here's a link for the festival:

Do you read French? If not, note that information about the schedule/programme and ticket sales/billeterie will not be available on the site until March 15.

If you enjoy jazz, when you are traveling you can listen live online to the some of the best jazz programming anywhere, at no charge - www.krtu.org
I have listened via lapatop, iPad and netbook on several continents.

Thanks and Yes, I can read French. I did notice that tickets are available after March 15. I was just wondering about what the festival is like, has anyone attended in the past?

Here's a link to another site with information about last year's festival:

http://www.afijma.asso.fr/reseau/les...on/default.htm

On that site there's a link to a 'dossier de presse' for the 2011 festival, including information about the concerts, events and musicians from last year. I would expect that you would find something similar for this this year's festival after March 15.

Dr Kath,

I've gone just about every year for the last 10 and can tell you it is very low-key, very relaxed kind of festival. The styles of music can vary widely. Performances are either in Apt itself or surrounding villages, sometimes in quite lovely spots. Except for the occasional 'headliner' type performers, you shouldn't have any problem getting tickets the day of or even right there at the venues.
