Azahar has lived in Sevilla for decades and knows what she's doing, the tapas and flamenco scene etc.

And very different flamenco places around town, only top of the shelf artists perform in Casa de la Memória and La Casa del flamenco, and in these venues, and a few more in Sevilla, there's no food, no drinks, just flamenco, and it's less than half the price of the often more touristy tablaos (flamenco restaurants).

And if you want to experience real deal flamenco with the locals, go to Peña Torres Macarena:

Question on your apt in Sevilla- did the bells from the Cathedral ring early in the morning? We just left a great apt in Sarlat next to the cathedral and the bells rang for ~4 minutes every morning at 7. I love bells but not at 7 am! Thanks

Yestravel...according to Bikerscott the bells did ring, but the only ones I heard were at 9am as they seemed to be louder. The shutters and rolling shutters really cut the noise. I guess it depends how sensitive you are to it!

Yestravel --- the two apartments we stayed in were a little further from the Cathedral but we weren't aware of it so I don't think you have to be very far away to avoid the problem.

Thanks, Liz. I gather jamikins apt is right across the street from the Catedral.

Jamikins, looking forward to your restaurant recommendations.

Lovely photos, jamikins. The Alhambra ones feel like a private tour.

We loved Seville, plan to visit Granada in the spring. Looking forward to details.

Great photos, thanks for sharing. We are planning a similar trip next year, and I am interested in any recommendations for accomodation in Granada. Did you stay near the Alhambra?

Thanks everyone!

Ok details.

For accommodation I couldn't have been happier with our choices. We spent 4 nights at a winery outside of Ronda, 5 nights in an apartment overlooking the cathedral in Seville, 3 nights at a lovely B&B in Córdoba, and 3 nights in a hotel with a private patio in Granada.

Ronda: http://www.la-perlablanca.com

Breakfast in bed overlooking the winery and hills of Ronda. Beautiful pool area. Minutes from Ronda but easy access to the highway.

Seville: https://www.genteel-home.com/seville...thouse-seville

Overlooking the cathedral, great AC, private terrace. We loved this apartment.

Córdoba: https://www.patiodelposadero.com

This was a beautiful place to stay with a lovely pool area and fantastic homemade breakfasts.

Granada: https://room-matehotels.com/en/leo/

Had a lovely room with a private terrace. Staff are super helpful and this is a great location.

We took a taxi to Alhambra at 8am to be the first into the palace. Well worth it...taxis are cheap in Spain!

Love your pictures! We spent our honeymoon in/around Granada 11 years ago. We didn't get to Seville or Cordoba and now I really want to go back to get to those cities- I especially loved your photos of the Moorish art/architecture. Where and when is your next trip?

Thanks Florida1!

We are going to Paris next weekend, Madrid the weekend after, and then spending Christmas in Paris and the week of New Years in Tuscany! Living in London does have its advantages!

Great trips! And I am very jealous of you living in London! We may be in Paris over Christmas as well - I'll let you know when we get our plans finalized- maybe we can meet up again!

Jamikins, I love your photos. We just returned today from a fabulous trip to Spain. Went to many of the same places that you did.
Are you a professional photographer? What kind of a camera do you use?
Thanks,
Karen
