Itinerary in Portugal & Spain
Hello -
Flying from the US into Lisbon on July 15 and fly back out of Lisbon on July 27. This is a last minute trip for us and really having to plan rather quickly. We had thought about:
Day 1 arrive Lisbon
Day 2 Evora
Day 3-4 Algarve Coast
Day 5-6 Seville
Day 7 Granada
Day 8-9 Alicante
Day 10-11 Barcelona or Madrid
Day 12 flight back to Lisbon then US
Thoughts??
THANK YOU!

12 nights and you want to visit Portugal, Andalucia, Madrid and/or Barcelona? Way too much traveling....you won't see much except airports, roads and/or train & bus stations.
If you are locked into flying in and out of Lisbon I'd focus on Portugal - Lisbon, Evora, Coimbra, Algarve Coast for example. Unless you can get a cheap flight to Sevilla or Madrid or Barcelona (either of which you'd want to visit for at least 3 full days) then take the time away from Portugal.
It will be very HOT in Southern Spain particularly in July.

Thoughts do not stay in any place less than 3 nights, or you will not see much of it.
Allow time to recover from Jet lag.
Are you using public transport?
This is peak season hopefully you have booked your accommodation.
The rest is on the other thread!

Hi; I just raised the other post Adu mentioned. You can easily do Seville from Lisbon/Evora, but no further. I had a suggestion on the other post you could view and that was for 12 to 14 nights. Last year we followed the route with only 8 nights, but did not go into Lisbon. It was very easy for us driving and we did not feel rushed. Richard

Yikes!! Waaay too much traveling. Lisbon, Evora, the seacoast, and possibly Seville is more than enough for your time span. As others have mentioned, it will be hot. Lisbon and Evora are both great and deserve a few days apiece, not to mention Seville. Another 'beach' option if you don't want to travel all the way to the Algarve is Sesimbra, a very pleasant seaside village just an hour or so from Lisbon.
