ajclaudio, Maybe try this website link for Trenitalia... http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/inde...0080a3e90aRCRD
It will show you the prices. I just plugged in a few days from now and here are the results for trains from Trastevere to Civitavecchia:
Departure
Arrival
Train
Cost
10:24 ROMA TRAS
11:13 C.CCHIA
Train 2338
1st Class 6,20 € 2nd Class 4,10 €
10:54 ROMA TRAS
11:57 C.CCHIA
01:18 Train 12234
No 1st Class - All 2nd class 4,10 €
These are all Regional Trains which will have open seating and so you must validate your tickets.
To get from FCO to Trastevere on the FR1 will cost you 5,50 € so as kybourbon says... if your take the FR1 and a Regional Train 2nd class it will run you 9,60 €. The regional trains from FCO run to Trastevere about every 15 minutes. If you need more help on riding trains, see this link: http://www.roninrome.com/2009/03/10/...ains-in-italy/
If you need directions (with pictures) to get to the FCO Train Station, use this link: http://www.roninrome.com/2009/04/23/...tation-at-fco/
I've made this run often and it's quite easy. The trains are usually NOT crowded on the way to Civitavecchia. Good Luck!

There is a glitch on Trenitalia since the new schedules were loaded. Before they were loaded you could get the price by entering a date within the next week and putting Fiumicino Aeroporto and Civitavecchia. Now you have to enter the legs separately to get a price of each leg (Fiumicino Aeroporto/Roma Trastevere and Roma Trastevere/Civitavecchia) which is very annoying. Hopefully, Trenitalia will fix this glitch.
