Italy or The U.K.

I have a 14 day vacation coming up from Aug 31-Sep 13 (I can add a few days on the front if need be). I really want to go to Italy, but from these posts I've read, it's pretty hot during that time of year and still pretty crowded . I'm also having a hard time deciding where to go besides Rome. I want to see it all!

In addition, my cousins live near Birmingham, UK and I can't travel to Eurpoe and not visit them. I was thinking of stoping in England for about 5 days, with a few spent in London. I was going to travel through the Chunnel and then going by rail to Italy.

I don't want to be rushed, so I'm now thinking of just spending my time in England and Scotland and saving Italy for next year. Any suggestions?

Stick to the UK. There's plenty to fill 14 days. Then you can look forward to Italy next year.

Thanks. That's what I was leaning towards, although I wanted to get a look at all the handsome Italian men.
