Which maps do you prefer? Map Easy, Streetwise or Michelin?

Check out Michelin, I've never seen a streetwise map of Italy, and not familiar with Map Easy. Are you going to just one specific city or will you be traveling around the country?

Definitely Michelin.

We'll be in Rome, Tuscany, and Venice. For Tuscany, I was going to get the Michillin map for central Tuscany since we'll be renting a car.

As for the other two cities, I wasn't sure which map would be most helpful.

I really liked the Touring Club Italiano map of Tuscany. The scale is 1:200,000 so it shows all the little fun roads.

We used multiple maps for Venice and still got lost -- which is half the fun of Venice.

Rome - if you are staying fairly centrally, you will do just fine with the maps in guide books. We stayed near Piazza Navona and walked everywhere we wanted to go (it was beautiful, great weather, no problems and saw lots of little side streets we might have missed if we'd been following a map too carefully.

I'm a big fan of Streetwise when it comes to cities. I like the fact that they're small and laminated. I hate those big paper maps that I need to unfold. It's so messy when looking at the map in the middle of the street with wind blowing.

I used the Streetwise for Rome in 2003.

I just bought the Streetwise for Venice today!

I'll amend my previous comment: Michelin for the general area maps, Streetwise or NG Traveler for the individual cities.
