Yes, but only in their region of residence, not in groups, and wearing a mask.
In fact, the rules vary from region to region. In Lombardy where I live it does not mean you can travel from one side of the region to the other. Many in Milan, for example, may have second houses on the various lakes or in the mountains but travel to such locations is still not allowed. Everyone is still very careful and uncertain although many industries in Lombardy will begin to restart production tomorrow (which is so important for Italy's economy).
The region of Lombardy has also started the free distribution of masks and yesterday I found 2 in my letter box. The new rules in Lombardy will finally allow me to see my children and first granddaughter - after 2 months! My granddaughter will be 1 year old the end of this month and although I have seen many pictures and videos of her during this period she is not yet into Skype, Facetime etc.

Following up from my earlier posting, the face masks I received were of the simplest type. Basically they are not intended to avoid me catching the virus but rather avoid me propagating it which if everyone wears a mask is therefore useful. I already had a more sophisticated mask which gave me some layer of protection (not ER level but good enough for the various excursions I needed). As I had only one of these I was concerned about possible contamination through re-use but there is a solution. Take a pan a pour in the bottom a small quantity of methylated spirit, rubbing alcohol or similar. Fix the face mask to the lid and place the lid on the pan. There should be no contact between the mask and the liquid. The vapours from the liquid will cleanse the mask in about 4 hours.

Alcohol vapors doesn't sound like a fool proof method. Everything from the amount of alcohol, the temperature of the liquid, the size of the pan to the material of the mask are going to affect the final outcome.
My pharmacist told me to put the alcohol into a spray bottle (95%) and just spray the thing and let it dry. Of course I haven't seen any alcohol in months.

What I was told for it to work it needs to be 95% alcohol.
Two different supermarkets today and no sight of it. Next week I might try the town next door. They have a large shop (Muary's) that sells aisles and aisle of cleaning products.

here in Canada iso propyl alcohol is 99.9% pure. where i live (Victoria on Vancouver Island ) we have been isolated the way islands are. there are almost no surgical masks available for the general public. i received on on a visit to my clinic.
i spary it with the above alcohol which according to my doctor streilizes it. because i am able to use the spray jar i used to use on my laundry, the mask is still in good shape.
we are required to wear in supermarkets
in a different world i would be in italy now. i had planned 3 weeks around Bologna. obviously not possible. here we are encouraged to saty in our local communities
when the dust settles i will visit you and spend the money i saved as little is open here except grocery stores
auguri!

The number of new cases in our province is now miniscule, even though they're doing extensive testing. Yesterday, and one other recenti day, there were no new cases.
On Tuesday, I'm finally getting my hair cut. I was considering using the WeedWhacker.
