"Most of the times if a crime or a murder occurred ,the Roms are the culpits."
Before colming out with such racist twaddle, might you find just the tiniest piece of evidence for that disgraceful - and absurd - remark?
Are Italy's useless education system and banana-republic media really so bad you can possibly think Italians don't commit crimes?
Italy had lots of crime when you exported your criminals to the US. It had lots of crime before the Eastern states joined the EU. It had lots of crime when Italy refused to allow the free movement of EU citizens that Britain, Ireland and Sweden happily offered.
There's just two reasons Italians are blaming Roma for crime now:
1. Italians have screwed up their economy so spectacularly they're trying to find scapegoats
2. Partly because of the country's appalling education system and media, racist slurs like this are tolerated in Italy in a way that would be simply unacceptable in any civilsed country.

racist slurs like this are tolerated in Italy in a way that would be simply unacceptable in any civilized country>
like in Britain when soccer fans en masse chant things like
I'D RATHER BE A PAKI THAN A TURK after some controversial loss in Turkey of an English team
Italy does not have any lock on racial slurs and the English i find are as racist as anybody - the Holier than Thou crapola of Brits is simply that
this is not to dispute the scape goating of the romany in Italy and blind eye towards the still rampant Mafia crimes throughout Italy
And Berlosconi would have been convicted of crimes in many other countries

My evidence comes from reading larepubblica.com daily and the Romanian media on a weekly basis.
Some stats that I put together:
The Romanian community in Italy comprises 13% of all immigrant communities. The number of people is 3.5 mill, surpassed only by Albanians by a small number. Of these 16% are believed to be illegal immigrants.
In Oct 2007 the Italian Interior Ministry shared these stats (Jan-Oct): Romanians (this included ethnic Roma and ethnic Romanians, as they hold the same Romanian passport)were involved in 37% of crimes, with more than 15% of the homicides committed. In Rome there had been 2700 arrests of Romanians, compared with the second highest group, the Maroccans at 275.
Following the release of these stats, at the end of last year the rape/kiling of Giovanna Reggiani started the crackdown of the 'campi nomadi' in Rome and other cities. Why were they tolerated for so long, beats me. And even now, the crimes continue, the latest one: two nights ago an Italian woman waiting at a bus stop in Milano was raped by a Romanian citizen.

PalenQ, interesting question. I read this online version as a way to improve my Italian and I happen to like many of their sections. I enjoy many of the archeology, history, and travel multimedia presentations. And when I open the main page I can't help noticing all the stories addressing my Romanian nationals, and I end up sighing with shame.

"Citizens of the EU are allowed to roam freely within any of the member countries up to a cummulative number of 90 days in a semester"
Nope, a citizen of the EU (with exceptions for the newest batch) can stay anywhere they like for as long as they like.
You can't kick a Texan out of New York for not being a New Yorker.
Same principle.

Anna Maria, grazie, I will start reading Il messaggero.
J_R_Hartley, I was referring to Romania's restrictions (being part of the new batch) as per
Directive 2004/38/EC Of The European Parliment. As I understand it, even after the 90 days there are ways for them to stay legally, but the ones in the camps are mostly illegal, no papers, no rights.
