italy

Hi,
I am planning a trip to Italy in April. I am visiting Rome (3 Nights) Capri (1 Night) Amalfi Coast (3 Nights) and Florence (3 Nights). Please suggest what all to see and do in these places. If possible please also suggest in which area should I take a Hotel in these places. A hotel recommendation will be wellcome, my budget is 100 Euro a night.

A general guidebook for Italy, or perhaps even Europe, might be in order to get an idea of what do to within your limited time; guidebooks covering a more limited area might be overwhelming in terms of what there is to see.

Most people look first at "what all to see and do" before deciding where to go, not after. I wonder, how did you decide that these were the places for you? If it was arbitrary or suggested by someone else you'll want to do some research and see if these are, in fact, the places you'd like most to visit. You may find that these are not for you and other places are.

Check the "destinations" tab above to get a good idea of things to see and do while in Italy. I don't think we can be of much help since each traveller has different must sees but if you share some of your interests and your reason for wanting to visit these destinations, we can try.

I'd choose Amalfi Coast or Florence but not both.

Each area can keep you busy for a week.

Going to Capri for one night means a lot of time in transit.

As for what to do, depends on what you like. There's a lot of hiking you can do around beautiful scenery in the AC and Capri, but there is as well in Florence and other Tuscan towns.

Of course a lot of art and historic architecture in Florence and Rome too.
